Global Artists Network’s new website, www.ganbatte1.net, now offers you the chance to market and distribute your projects, while earning money at the same time. We are committed to helping independent artists of all backgrounds succeed in their goals.

What does Ganbatte mean?

“Ganbatte” is a Japanese word meaning to overcome, to persevere, to give it your all, and to do your best. We think it perfectly describes the artistic spirit and the hardworking community of filmmakers and multimedia artists our site will serve worldwide on a daily basis. 

How does it work?

Artists upload their project (in Windows Media format) at no charge. They can then create a short trailer for the project, with the option of introducing it themselves if they want.  All trailers stream on the site for free, while the full project is available for download.

Download rates are as follows:

Feature films (45 minutes and over) are $3.50 per download.

Shorts/Music Videos (up to 44 minutes) are $2.20 per download

Music only is $1.00 per single download.

What is the royalty rate for the artist?

For feature downloads: Of the $3.50, $1.25 goes to the artist, (paid quarterly), $1.25 goes to our hosting fees, and $1.00 goes to our charities.

For Short/Music Video downloads: Of the $2.20, .60 goes to the artist (paid quarterly), .60 goes toward our hosting fees, and $1.00 goes to our charities.

For Music only downloads: for unsigned or indie label acts.  Of the $1.00, .50 goes to the artist, .10 goes to our hosting fees, and .40 goes to our charities.

Which charities are involved?

The American Cancer Society, The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and The San Francisco AIDS Foundation are already on board. We are currently in discussions with several other big name organizations, and will have a fourth confirmed by our launch date. The $1.00 will be split equally among the four charities.
